Consent is not Sppoky
Thu Oct 31 2024 12:00PM – 4:00PM
Event Description:
It's spooky season and the big day is almost upon us: Halloween. This means instead of being spooky escaping a haunted house it can become a night of fear, trying to escape lewd comments, sexual harassment, and grabbing hands. The culture of violence has become a normal characteristic of Halloween, and it is not okay. A holiday is not a free pass on disrespecting others and not asking for consent. Giving consent is not spooky; it’s necessary. For more information, please contact the [Not Just] Women’s Center at thenjwc@su.edu.
